Be careful of diet pills and those that require extremely high intakes of protein or extremely low intakes of carbohydrates (i.e. low carb diet).
Quick weight loss programs will not work in the long run. This is because quick weight loss involves starving the body. The body in turn lowers it's metabolism to compensate and goes into starvation mode (i.e. stores fat). What you are losing in a quick weight loss program are fat, water weight and muscles.
However, since your body has lowered it's metabolism, you will find it harder to burn calories. In effect, your body has adjusted to lower intakes of food, and you will now find it is easier to gain weight back. This is the yoyo dieting effect.
