Tag Heuer Showcases Dual Time Zone On Carrera Twin-Time
To suit the marketís current taste for larger watches, TAG HEUER has taken a decisive step forward into the 21st century by coming out with the revival of its vintage model, the CARRERA. This decision helped razzle-dazzle the Carrera into a sleek, no-nonsense wristwatch.
Equipped with the Automatic Calibre 7 movement, the Carrera Twin Time has a dual time zone that comes in two versions featuring an ultra-chic detail that makes the difference. It is fitted with a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and its water resistance has been increased to 5 ATM. The polished steel case, famous for the extremely legible dial, has an even larger diameter. The black dial has a red GMT pointer, and the silver dial has a blue GMT pointer. Its neat, no-frills look is complemented by a brown or black crocodile leather strap, or a black perforated leather strap.
Carrera was named after the popular Carrera Panamericana, a dangerous racing route that stretched from North America to the Guatemelan border. Over 3,000 kilometers long, this race line is considered the most exhausting marathon for both the drivers and the cars. Dangers and death are synonymous to it so the Carrera Panamericana was discontinued, but the legend is still strong and alive. However, in those years, Jack Heuer collaborated with famous Formula One drivers to establish Carrera. Since then, Carrera has all the attributes of a legendary sports wristwatch with its distinctive and recognizable dial.
TAG Heuer, the reference in prestigious sports watches and chronographs since 1860 is the fourth luxury brand in the world watch market, has proven that Carrera is the watch well-loved in its first birth and more so, becomes even more cherished with its new twin time zone. Carrera has all the attributes to be a genuine classics and has ever since become the important pillars for which TAG Heuer currently stands.
